Mark Polizzotto, credit John Appleyard

Dr Mark Polizzotto is a consultant haematologist who holds a dual appointment with The Kirby Institute for Infection and Immunity and St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. Mark's clinical and scientific interests lie at the intersection of immunity and malignancy, in particular viral malignancies and malignancies occurring in people with HIV and other acquired immunodeficiencies.

He was recently awarded a grant to develop a clinical trial program in cancers associated with HIV infection at St Vincent's Hospital. Read the press release here.

Associate Professor Elgene Lim is a Medical Oncologist at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney, and a Senior Research Fellow with Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Elgene was recently announced as one of two inaugural Endowed Chair positions with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). 

Recognised as a leader in breast cancer research, Elgene will be working towards the NBCF's goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. For more information on Elgene's endowment, please click here
